Green Oak and Glasgow Caledonian University have won a competition to create an app that inspires Scottish businesses to think greener.
By 2020, Scotland has committed to reduce carbon emissions by 42%. To help businesses respond to this challenge, the Scottish Government, Scottish and Southern Energy, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency and Microsoft launched a competition to create a software application that would help businesses measure, manage and reduce their carbon emissions.
The winning app, called ‘Care to Compare’, is aimed at taking small to medium enterprises on a carbon journey. It includes the following stages:
