Pakistan to generate 50MW of wind power after MoU with Wikov

The Sindh government in Pakistan has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Czech Republic-based Wikov Wind for the power generation of 50MW in the Gharo region of the country.

The agreement was finalised by the director general of the Sindh board of investment Muhammad Riazuddin and the head of Wikov Martin Wichterle.

Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, said, ‘Sindh is the first province to take lead in power generation through wind and it has the potential of generating 50,000MW of power through wind in coastal belt of the province…. Read more
