Renewable Energy & the Australian Defence Force

The Australian Defence Force is undertaking world-class research and development to create new forms of energy. Even oil experts, who previously declared there was no problem, now admit that the world has less than 40 years of oil supply left. As the quantity of fossil fuels diminishes, prices will rise and the probability of wars for the remaining supply will invariably increase.

The Australian Defence Force is prioritizing research and development into energy that is sourced from solar and geothermal energy. According to the Australian Defence Force White paper on The Cost of Energy, defence transport must be converted to run on electricity and solar cells and wind power to remain viable.
