£20m renewable energy plant plan for Shoreham Port

BIO-WASTE could be converted into enough energy to power the whole area, if £20million plans for a renewable energy plant go ahead.

Edgeley Green Power (EGP) has submitted a planning application to Adur District Council, to build the facility at Shoreham Port.

If permission is granted, the company hopes to start building the plant next year, and for it to be fully operational, generating about 32 mega watts of electricity an hour, by 2014.
