Germany Makes Solar Power World Record With 14.7 TWh In 6 Months

While the world is busy discovering newer sources of renewable energy, Germany has achieved a remarkable feat by setting a world record for solar power consumption. Catering to about 4.5% of the country’s power consumption, Germany has pulled a whooping 14.7 terawatt-hours of solar power in the first six months of 2012. That means the solar power usage in Germany has increased by 50% since last year.
