Everyone is struggling. The rent is due, the car payment is due and the price of food is going up. Most families live strictly within their means. Some parents, because they work two jobs, barely have time to spend time with their kids.
Because necessities are so costly, families resort to finding ways just to get by. They don’t get to enjoy the luxuries of dining out or going to the movies. Instead they monitor the temperature of the air conditioner and whether the lights and television are turned off.
This isn’t a way for families to live. They shouldn’t be counting pennies for the bare necessities in their homes. Most recently, the Guam Power Authority came under fire for outrageous billing, and they are working diligently and very hard to correct the error.
